Review For Movie Puss in Boots
'Puss in Boots' is uneven, but when it's on course, cat fans will be in heaven.
Anna Smith-Time Out

Puss in Boots prances along on three basic truths. One, cats are funny. Two, vain Spanish cats in high-heeled musketeer boots are even funnier. Lastly, booted, vain Spanish cats voiced by a breathy Antonio Banderas are flat-out hilarious.
Amy Biancolli-Houston Chronicle

An almost purr-fect little film that even a dog owner can enjoy.
Stephen Whitty-Newark Star-Ledger

It would overstate matters to say Puss in Boots leaves its cat holding the bag (we had to get that in). But it also leaves its hero awaiting a richer fable, one befitting his charms and his portrayer's talents.
Lisa Kennedy-Denver Post

The character may be here to save the day, but the movie's only here to pass the time and it does that just fine.
William Goss-Film.com

It's the morally-cracked Humpty who provides the film's emotional trajectory. Puss in Boots is a fun feline frolic -- with just a little egg on its face.
Jennie Punter-Globe and Mail

A refreshing departure from the "Shrek" films, this animated comedy is jam-packed with witty dialogue and charismatic characters.
John Hanlon-Big Hollywood

I like this cat. I hope they make four more of these. Viva el gato!
Will Leitch-Deadspin

Finally, there's a cat even cooler than Garfield who will win the box office as well as a place on your favorites list. His name is Puss and he wears boots.
Billy Tatum-We Got This Covered

Banderas vocally vamps this up in ways he never gets to do in live action films.
Roger Moore-McClatchy-Tribune News Service

Bet the litter box that the cat in the hat will be back, Puss in Boots is fantastic family fun, both kids and adults will lap it up like a cold glass of milk.
Erick Weber-NECN

Puss offers strong CGI charisma, and with a tighter narrative focus than Shrek, it's safe to say that DreamWorks has another franchise-worthy golden goose.
Ben Kendrick-ScreenRant

"Puss in Boots" is light, breezy family entertainment that [features] top-notch voice work from the entire cast.
Jeff Beck-Examiner.com

Puss in Boots delivers just the right mixture of fun, exciting and super cute.
R. L. Shaffer-IGN DVD

Clever and witty enough for adults and colorful and zany enough for children. Moreover, it's adventurous enough for anyone to like, no matter what their age.
John J. Puccio-Movie Metropolis

Puss proves more than capable and deserving of the solo spotlight, his outsize bravado, machismo, ego spilling out beyond the big screen in fiercely funny feline fashion.
Michael Dequina-TheMovieReport.com

"Puss in Boots" shows that there's certainly enough in him to create a new hero beloved by both children and merchandise executives.
Laurence Boyce-The Baltic Times

Avoids all the worst tendencies of the later Shrek movies.
Ignatiy Vishnevetsky-Ebert Presents At The Movies

Joseph Proimakis-Movies for the Masses

With Banderas' scene-stealing feline finally getting his own film, the franchise now has a worthy successor to the two original Shrek movies.
Matt Neal-The Standard

I'm pretty sure that the reason Antonio Banderas was put on this planet was to make Puss in Boots speak... [H]ilariously and endlessly inventive...
MaryAnn Johanson-Flick Filosopher

There are betrayals and double-crosses galore, rattling chases and swish sword fights, fleeting visual gags, mischievous verbal jokes and, best of all, a frisky flamenco dance-off between Puss and Kitty that will leave the viewer purring with pleasure.
Jason Best-Movie Talk

Puss's boots are delectable things which could almost have been the product of that classic fairy tale, The Elves and the Shoemaker ( ... ) and every time ( ... ) we see those little gnashers, the film is a technical marvel.
Graham Young-Birmingham Mail

Puss In Boots is the cat's meow.
-Liverpool Echo

An attractive adventure yarn that combines the fairytale and the western.
Philip French-Observer [UK]

While its fairytale-inspired premise lacks the subversive wit of the better Shrek films, Puss in Boots is an agreeably snappy, visually enticing yarn nonetheless.

Watch Jurassic Park Best Movies life time

Steven Spielberg's phenomenally successful sci-fi adventure thriller is graced by state-of-the-art special effects from the team of Stan Winston, Phil Tippett and Michael Lantieri from George Lucas's Industrial Light & Magic. The film follows two dinosaur experts -- Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Dr. Ellie Sattler Laura Dern) -- as they are invited by eccentric millionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) to preview his new amusement park on an island off Costa Rica. By cloning DNA harvested from pre-historic insects, Hammond has been able to create living dinosaurs for his new Jurassic Park, an immense animal preserve housing real brachiosaurs, dilophosaurs, triceratops, velociraptors, and a Tyrannosaur Rex. Accompanied by cynical scientist Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), who is obsessed with chaos theory, and Hammond's two grandchildren (Ariana Richards and Joseph Mazzello), they are sent on a tour through Hammond's new resort in computer controlled touring cars. But as a tropical storm hits the island, knocking out the power supply, and an unscrupulous employee (Wayne Knight) sabotages the system so that he can smuggle dinosaur embryos out of the park, the dinosaurs start to rage out of control. Grant then has to bring Hammond's grandchildren back to safety as the group is pursued by the gigantic man-eating beasts. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi

Review For Movie Jurassic Park
Jurassic Park is an astonishing success in one sense and one sense only: It is the monster of all monster movies, guaranteed to challenge weak bladders, flutter heartbeats and win automatic Oscars for the [tech crew].
Jeff Shannon-Seattle Times

The enthralling man-vs.-nature parable based on the late Michael Crichton's best-selling novel hasn't aged one bit.
Michael O'Sullivan-Washington Post

The 3-D process adds not just dimension but depth - a technological extension of cinematographer Gregg Toland's deep-focus innovations in The Grapes of Wrath and Citizen Kane. The change in perspective creates greater intensity.
Richard Corliss-TIME Magazine

I'm a fan of this movie. It is thrilling, and the 3-D treatment is a nice enhancement.
Tom Russo-Boston Globe

This movie doesn't just stand the test of time, it transcends it.
Peter Howell-Toronto Star

"Jurassic Park" remains an absolute thrill from a Spielberg in top form: Funny, scary, fast-moving and full of just-right details.
Rafer Guzman-Newsday

I loved every fascinating, suspenseful, frightening, skilfully calibrated minute of it.
Philip French-Observer [UK]

Jurassic Park is the most self-reflexive blockbuster ever made ...
Charlotte O'Sullivan-This is London

A very welcome memo to Hollywood that blockbusters don't have to be stupid.
Christopher Tookey-Daily Mail [UK]

A thrill ride worthy of a real-life amusement park.
David Gritten-Daily Telegraph

The effects have barely aged and the joy is timeless. Take a child who's never seen it and watch their imagination expand before your eyes.
Olly Richards-Empire Magazine

Despite the presence of all this acting talent, it is the film's special effects, especially the work of "dinosaur supervisor" Phil Tippett, that carry the day.
Ralph Novak-People Magazine

Spielberg is less assured in the department of character development and some of the actors give worse performances than the computer-generated creatures, but, with a landmark spectacle like this, who cares?
John Ferguson-Radio Times

Jurassic Park is a masterpiece!
Steve Neish-HeyUGuys

The 3D doesn't add a lot to the narrative, but it's still an exciting adventure into the mesmerizing world of dinosaurs and humanity's godlike addiction to reviving the past.
Wesley Lovell-Cinema Sight

Some things have dated - Sam Jackson wouldn't be allowed to smoke in the office; everyone would have mobiles; Google Earth would have kept the island from being kept a secret - but the power of the film's pioneering CGI remain strangely undiminished.
Jim Schembri-3AW

Steven Spielberg's summer adventure is still one of the ultimate movie roller coaster rides.
Jeffrey M. Anderson-Combustible Celluloid

Jurassic Park is a how-to guide for structuring a multi-character disaster film.
Matt Neal-The Standard

Still proves as thrilling as ever.
Steve Newall-Flicks.co.nz

A classic gets even better.
Bruce Bennett-Spectrum (St. George, Utah)

The film is a classic and the chance to see it on the big screen again (or for the first time) should not be missed
Michael A. Smith-MediaMikes

Sentiment is explained by science as the family impulse that motivates so many Steven Spielberg stories is revealed to be an evolutionary imperative in this near-perfect action-adventure.
John Beifuss-Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN)

[Looks] better not only than effects-driven movies of the same period, but better, frankly, than half of what gets released nowadays.
Tim Brayton-Antagony & Ecstasy

Kids who love dinosaurs will love it. And who doesn't?
Cynthia Fuchs-Time to Play Magazine

confirms both Spielberg's mastery of cinematic thrills and the comparatively empty bombast of today's summer tentpole movies, even the better ones.

Review For Movie Simon Killer
Simon Killer is a sensory, experiential film - more of a state of mind than a straightforward story.
Rene Rodriguez-Miami Herald

Self-consciousness passing for style.
Tom Keogh-Seattle Times

"Simon Killer" is a beautifully made look at ugliness and brutality, the kind of oxymoronic exercise that fascinates some and repels others.
Bill Goodykoontz-Arizona Republic

Another terrific performance from Brady Corbet, but it's in the service of a parade of horrors that never leads anywhere interesting.
Alonso Duralde-The Wrap

It is brutally raw and difficult watching.
Betsy Sharkey-Los Angeles Times

The overall sense
of chilly disengagement becomes trying, and there's a last-minute switch that suggests that Campos is trying to have his croissant and eat it.
Tom Huddleston-Time Out

There's a highly engaging dramatic thriller hidden somewhere in this lugubrious, tamped-down Parisian nightmare.
Eric D. Snider-About.com

Not for everyone, in fact generally disrecommended for anyone except those who admired Martha Marcy May Marlene.
Kelly Vance-East Bay Express

... a sexy, edgy character study that slowly draws you into its web even as it unnerves you ... a hybrid of 'The Talented Mr. Ripley" and, for its steamy lovemaking, the X-rated 'Last Tango in Paris.'
Glenn Lovell-CinemaDope

Simon Killer is as juvenile as the behaviour of its central character, but thankfully its weaker moments are reasonably scarce and for the most part the film is an interesting, if a little surface level, character study that is difficult to shake off.
Craig Skinner-HeyUGuys

Unpleasant, but not negligible.
Philip French-Observer [UK]

Simon Killer leaves you uneasy long before you wonder if Simon will get caught or find a conscience for his crimes, both real and imagined.
Billy Tatum-Paste Magazine

Although Brady Corbet is a compelling actor and succeeds at times in capturing an almost boyish charm, he's playing a nasty, unappealing and unredemptive character.
Sarah Cronin-Electric Sheep

For a horror film, this is unusually subtle and disturbing, rather than all-out scary, quietly profiling a creepy central character in ways that are designed to provoke the audience.
Rich Cline-Contactmusic.com

The performances of Brady Corbet as the taciturn American and Mati Diop as the sympathetic prostitute lend the film watchability ...
Derek Malcolm-This is London

Brutal, nasty, unflinching. If you like that kind of thing.
David Jenkins-Little White Lies

An artfully shot, po-faced thriller about an American graduate student going to pieces on an extended break in Paris.
Henry Barnes-Guardian [UK]

Impressively directed and sharply written, this is a disturbing study in sociopathy with a compelling lead performance from Brady Corbet.
Matthew Turner-ViewLondon

A refreshing departure from the current glut of slasher movies that make the mistake of thinking more gore can ever replace the feeling of icy dread that you've been played by a madman.
Tim Evans-Sky Movies

Builds a quiet, creeping sense of menace, with a courageously unsympathetic performance from Corbet at its icy heart.
Philip Kemp-Total Film

Review For Movie Reality
The satire here is finespun, and the film's conclusions ambiguous.
Michael O'Sullivan-Washington Post

A dark allegorical comedy about the nature of fame, about obsession, about madness - and the point where they converge: on Big Brother, a TV show watched by millions.
Steven Rea-Philadelphia Inquirer

For all its ups and downs and occasional detours into boorishness, it's an original that will surprise if not necessarily delight fans of Garrone's very different crime drama, "Gomorrah."
John Hartl-Seattle Times

Matteo Garrone follows his crime epic Gomorrah with a comedy about reality TV, and though it hardly rivals the earlier movie in its social complexity, it still offers the spectacle of a vibrant and vividly realized Neapolitan neighborhood.
J. R. Jones-Chicago Reader

As cautionary tales go, this one's ripely knowing, and it speaks in a lot more languages than Italian.
Ty Burr-Boston Globe

Garrone has a feeling for sweep and color, and he makes Luciano a pathetic victim of the unrealities with which TV can beset us.
Stanley Kauffmann-The New Republic

... works on multiple levels and Arena, who worked within a prison release arrangement while serving a life sentence, creates an indelible, sad character.
Laura Clifford-Reeling Reviews

Italian satire amusingly sends up our obsession with reality TV, but not in a wholly satisfying way.
MaryAnn Johanson-Flick Filosopher

It is a brutal, frank, painful and highly meticulous look at an ordinary man undergoing a very modern crisis amidst a very simple life.
CJ Johnson-ABC Radio (Australia)

Captures the 21st-century affliction of learned discontent, where perfectly happy people go in quest of something they think is better. Reality is a thoughtful, intelligent film.
Jim Schembri-3AW

Part fairy tale, part religious allegory, and part scathing indictment, but the comedy remains light.
Eric D. Snider-EricDSnider.com

Garrone has confounded expectations with this light, Fellini-esque send-up of reality television and the celebrity it has spawned.
Ed Gibbs-The Sunday Age

A long and meandering satire on FOMO and self-delusion, and a shrewd commentary on the desire for the illusive fame that comes with reality television.
Simon Weaving-Screenwize

My disappointment comes not just from the fact that the subject matter is soft but from the fact that the film is so thin
Andrew L. Urban-Urban Cinefile

The themes involving the confused sense of today's reality hit a note, (but) the film is not funny enough, nor interesting enough to hold our attention for its 116 minute running time
Urban Cinefile Critics-Urban Cinefile

Felliniesque is a term that gets bandied about frequently, but few films actually capture the spirit of the Italian master in his prime. Matteo Garrone's Reality earns its keep without resorting to mere imitation.
T'Cha Dunlevy-Montreal Gazette

As soon as the reality show element comes in, the movie abandons its creativity and goes for broad, anxious comedy that never works.
Jeffrey M. Anderson-Combustible Celluloid

Uma obra inteligente, engraçada e profundamente relevante.
Pablo Villaca-Cinema em Cena

A feast of eye candy and broad comic caterwauling.

Los Angeles, 1999 - Officer Dave Brown (Harrelson) is a Vietnam vet and a Rampart Precinct cop, dedicated to doing "the people's dirty work" and asserting his own code of justice, often blurring the lines between right and wrong to maintain his action-hero state of mind. Review For Movie Rampart
Where's it all go? Nowhere, really, just down a dirty, disappointing hole. Harrelson deserved better.
Tom Long-Detroit News

It's a remarkably compelling film.
Moira MacDonald-Seattle Times

Brown is a sick man, but Harrelson makes him so interesting, so charismatic, so ... watchable, that you can't look away, even if his actions make you want to (and they will).
Bill Goodykoontz-Arizona Republic

"Rampart" doesn't tell a coherent story as much as swirl the drain with Dave, as his increasingly desperate efforts to save himself simply result in a cascade of self-inflicted wounds.
Ann Hornaday-Washington Post

This isn't your average out-of-control character, and Harrelson has to work against a narrowly defined screenplay that is short on specifics.
Peter Howell-Toronto Star

Sure to provoke furious reactions in those unwilling to succumb to its mood of reckless abandon. But for those who can, this feverish slice of LA noir is set to be one of the purest cinematic pleasures of 2012.
Tom Huddleston-Time Out

[A] cop drama in the vein of Bad Lieutenant, except in this case the bad cop that is front and centre truly thinks he's doing good.
Glenn Dunks-Onya Magazine

Rampart doesn't end up having as much emotional punch to it as The Messenger did, mainly because it feels as though the idea was not thought out to completion.
Jeff Beck-We Got This Covered

What keeps the movie engaging for as long as it was is the amazing performance by two-time Oscar nominee Woody Harrelson.
Jeff Beck-Examiner.com

IN case you needed it, this unsettling cop drama is further proof that Woody Harrelson is one of the most underrated actors going round.
Matt Neal-The Standard

You get the impression that the film is as conflicted as its protagonist: trying to be both an arty character study and a dynamic drama at the same time but unable to excel at either.
Matt Looker-TheShiznit.co.uk

A film saddled with a melodramatic script that would serve better as a TV pilot.
Erick Weber-NECN

No thrills, no secret plots, and no obvious politics, "Rampart" is a powerful and moving look into an empty person.
Witney Seibold-CraveOnline

This movie feels too undecided. The movie is so intent on not being "Training Day" that it just isn't "Training Day" enough.
Roger Moore-McClatchy-Tribune News Service

Woody Harrelson is mesmerising as the anti-hero of gripping crime drama Rampart, but his pill-popping, booze-swigging, suspect-beating dirty cop, is so irredeemably unsympathetic that you almost wish he weren't so compelling to watch.
Jason Best-Movie Talk

Loaded with poorly executed cop movie clichés
Tom Clift-Moviedex

Rampart asks a lot of its audience, and offers very little in return. Only Harrelson makes the ordeal worthwhile.
Simon Miraudo-Quickflix

Ultimately Rampart is Harrelson's showcase, and he takes full advantage of fleshing out a complex role.
Mark Pfeiffer-Reel Times: Reflections on Cinema

When Steve Buscemi is playing a district attorney, you know you're in a moral quagmire.
Rob Thomas-Capital Times (Madison, WI)

Rampart is a hypnotic, subjective, immersive experience into the deepest depths of a character that you love to hate. It's powerfully ambiguous filmmaking; and you need to see it.
Blake Howard-2UE That Movie Show

The incendiary dialogue -- as much a performer's showcase as is a jazz instrumentalist's solo -- is signature Ellroy.
John Beifuss-Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN)

A nightmarish, hallucinatory film, bathed in raw neon colors and with style to spare, and with a blistering central performance by Woody Harrleson.
Ken Hanke-Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC)

Another bad cop on the road to ruin
Robert Denerstein-Movie Habit

Harrelson is riveting as a man without redeeming qualities or hope of redemption being driven to madness by personal demons.
Duane Dudek-Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Harrelson scorches the earth.

Winner of both the Grand Jury Prize for dramatic feature and the Audience Award for U.S. dramatic film at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, director Ryan Coogler's FRUITVALE STATION follows the true story of Oscar Grant (Michael B. Jordan), a 22-year-old Bay Area resident who wakes up on the morning of December 31, 2008 and feels something in the air. Not sure what it is, he takes it as a sign to get a head start on his resolutions: being a better son to his mother (Octavia Spencer), whose birthday falls on New Year's Eve, being a better partner to his girlfriend Sophina (Melonie Diaz), who he hasn't been completely honest with as of late, and being a better father to Tatiana (Ariana Neal), their beautiful four year-old daughter. Crossing paths with friends, family, and strangers, Oscar starts out well, but as the day goes on, he realizes that change is not going to come easily. His resolve takes a tragic turn, however, when BART officers shoot him in cold blood at the Fruitvale subway stop on New Year's Day. Oscar's life and tragic death would shake the Bay Area - and the entire nation - to its very core. (c) Weinstein

Review For Movie Fruitvale Station
It's hard not to watch Fruitvale Station with a coiled dread... Yet, Coogler's greatest achievement may be in reminding us that Grant was a work in progress with people who loved him in spite of his flaws and because of his hopes.
Lisa Kennedy-Denver Post

We feel the death on the platform so acutely not because it's a stupid act of randomness, but hardly untypical racist violence, but because we've come to love this man.
-Globe and Mail

Michael B. Jordan (The Wire and Friday Night Lights) plays Oscar with the heart and compelling charm required to make us feel close to him.
Linda Barnard-Toronto Star

It's a story of one young man's tragedy, a story that resonates with so many other tragedies. Oscar Grant wasn't some mere symbol; this film makes him flesh and, unfortunately, blood.
Tom Long-Detroit News

An eloquent memorial for a man who barely experienced life, and a haunting reminder of how quickly it can be lost.

Some of this narrative feels cliched, but Coogler and his actors make it work by leaning toward understatement.

It's an unflinching, 360-degree character portrait.
Mara Reinstein-Us Weekly

A good first film but not quite deserving of the hype. The best parts have nothing to do with Oscar Grant's murder but the quotidian tale of survival by a young man with the best of intentions.
Louis Proyect-rec.arts.movies.reviews

does something more radical ... humanizes the protagonist
John A. Nesbit-Old School Reviews

Stunning, timely look at the killing of an unarmed man
Robert Denerstein-Movie Habit

...takes tragedies that have inflamed a nation - from Fruitvale to Sanford, Fla. - and brings them back down to human scale.
Josh Larsen-LarsenOnFilm

There are scenes that were certainly fabricated for the movie, but the emotional truth behind them feels real.
Eric Melin-Scene-Stealers.com

An utterly moving and rich slice-of-life fable.
Tim Brayton-Antagony & Ecstasy

Yet, despite being aware of the outcome, the movie is, in its own profane and streetwise manner, a warmhearted and soulful story of a young man's journey toward self-discovery and determination.
Bob Bloom-Journal and Courier (Lafayette, IN)

An impressive launch for the film's young writer-director and a signal that the movie's leading man will be a major presence in American film.
John Wirt-Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA)

The performance by Michael B. Jordan is authentic and convincing, and helps us stay engaged in a film that wants to be mundane until its explosive finale.

Lori Hoffman-Atlantic City Weekly

In the wake of the Trayvon Martin verdict, this compassionate film reclaims the humanity of victims transformed into political symbols and provides context for those who think the media and not Zimmerman's bullet 'injected race' into the Martin killing.
John Beifuss-Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN)

One of the year's best films.
Bob Grimm-Reno News and Review

This dramatic story is told in a fair and balanced way, supplemented with excellent acting.
Jackie K. Cooper-jackiekcooper.com

A powerful acknowledgement of existence
Cameron Williams-The Popcorn Junkie

It's funny how the bloated, overly lengthy studio blockbusters have far less impact than 90 minutes of a relatively brief, CGI-free 'little' movie such as 'Fruitvale Station.'
Linda Cook-Quad City Times (Davenport, IA)

The slow first hour is more than compensated for by the half hour climax that leaves one in tears.
Tony Medley-Tolucan Times

As Grant, Michael B. Jordan's stunning good looks and immaculately restrained acting affects even those who don't want to be manipulated-who want to watch this story with unfogged eyes.
Richard von Busack-MetroActive

Without emotion-tweaking music or too much fictional streamlining and highlighting, he captures a sense of the random and pointless horror of a young man shot in the back while laying on his stomach
Chris Barsanti-Film Racket

...writer-director Ryan Coogler and his actors do such a good job the film is consistently compelling despite its predestined finale.
Leonard Maltin-indieWIRE

Review For Movie Runner Runner
Despite [its] stacked deck of a cast, "Runner Runner" adds up to little more than a charmless, paint-by-numbers thriller ...
Andrew Barker-Variety

An uncompelling, sketchy telling of an intriguing crime story.
Todd McCarthy-Hollywood Reporter

Runner Runner starts off with a solid draw, then folds on the flop.
Tim Robey-Daily Telegraph

Clearly something went horribly wrong as this thriller was being made, because despite a solid cast, gorgeous locations and an intriguing premise, the film is an incoherent mess.
Rich Cline-Contactmusic.com

Once all of the film's cards have been revealed, it's hard not to feel a little cheated.
Rob Carnevale-The List

In poker terms, Runner Runner is the player who wins an average stack of chips, bets moderately, cashes out even and leaves before the game gets interesting.
Ali Gray-TheShiznit.co.uk

One day, our kids will ask where we were when we first saw Runner Runner. That, or it'll get lost in the annals of time; caught between the metaphorical couch-cushions of The Firm and Boiler Room.
Simon Miraudo-Quickflix

It's not so much the well-worn template that's the problem here, it's the superficiality with which the story unspools.
Cara Nash-FILMINK (Australia)

The movie is burdened with plenty of gambling-as-a-metaphor-for-life platitudes and two stars who never fully convince in their roles.
Tim Grierson-Screen International

The entire cast is short-changed in a film that prioritises cheap thrills over characters you can invest in, and the problem is compounded by a plot that is designed by the numbers.
Stella Papamichael-Digital Spy

Occasionally engaging and sometimes thrilling; just not often enough
Andrew L. Urban-Urban Cinefile

Risk taking and assessing the odds are the key components of this taut and highly enjoyable thriller in which dreams rely on a dice toss....a guilty pleasure of a rollercoaster ride with high stakes. And a satisfying one, at that
Louise Keller-Urban Cinefile

Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck give their best poker faces but ultimately fail to convince you to gamble your cash away on this limp, unoriginal story of a man out of his depth.

Tina's led a sheltered life and there are things that Chris needs her to see - the Crich Tramway Museum, the Ribblehead Viaduct, the Keswick Pencil Museum and the rolling countryside that separates these wonders in his life. But it doesn't take long for the dream to fade. Litterbugs, noisy teenagers and pre-booked caravan sites, not to mention Tina's meddling mother, soon conspire to shatter Chris's dreams and send him, and anyone who rubs him the wrong way, over a very jagged edge. Review For Movie Sightseers
It's not a perfect blend, but Ben Wheatley's film is different enough - on second thought, let's just call it what it is: weird - to warrant your attention. Your admiration, even.
Bill Goodykoontz-Arizona Republic

A British black comedy made in the spirit of "let's run with this demented premise till the tank is empty."
Walter V. Addiego-Hearst Newspapers

It's just not quite funny enough.
Rick Groen-Globe and Mail

With a wink and a shrug, Sightseers shows us evil in all its banality.
Bruce Demara-Toronto Star

A brilliant, deliciously wicked, and thoroughly enjoyable road film ...
Tirdad Derakhshani-Philadelphia Inquirer

Darkly funny as it is, the movie has undercurrents of genuine and very British weirdness.
Ty Burr-Boston Globe

An undeniable treat for lovers of morbid comedy.
Jason Buchanan-TV Guide's Movie Guide

It's definitely not for everyone, but if you can stand the stink of the human condition, Sightseers will linger in the lobes of your imagination long enough to make you laugh.
Katherine Monk-Canada.com

Would make an apt double feature with director Bobcat Goldthwait's recent 'God Bless America,' a similar road trip-as-murder rampage comedy in which people with bad taste and annnoying habits are targeted for 'deserved' extinction.
John Beifuss-Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN)

Sightseers is a brilliantly grim and reasonably amusing comedy that is also wonderfully unpredictable and constantly pushing unforeseen circumstances.
Chris Sawin-Examiner.com

pitch-black and funny, nearly as dismal as Kill List but played for laughs rather than horror.
Eric D. Snider-EricDSnider.com

Daft and darkly hilarious, but bleak? Oh yes. Almost too bleak.
Roger Moore-McClatchy-Tribune News Service

It's usually difficult to find serial killers who are sympathetic and even charming, but this amusing dark comedy does just that without sacrificing its moral compass.
Todd Jorgenson-Cinemalogue.com

A quick, dry, acidic comedy that will appeal to anyone who likes horror movies or pitch-black humor.
Scott Weinberg-FEARnet

Welcome to My Camp
Jean Lowerison-ReviewExpress.com

One of the funniest, and bleakest, comedies of the season.
Kelly Vance-East Bay Express

What starts out as a sunny, funny getaway soon turns hilariously dark, a fusion of tabloid sensationalism and social satire ... a royal hoot, the funniest British import since 'Shaun of the Dead.'
Glenn Lovell-CinemaDope

Bloody good camping trip tale
James Verniere-Boston Herald

It's funny and dark, but it's also unconventionally insightful and full of heart - or at least the hearts that are left beating.
Al Alexander-The Patriot Ledger
